There were many nice Sega Mega Drive 2 bundles released throughout its lifetime and on this post I want to focus on my two favourite bundles. Both of which happen to be from Disney franchises. The Jungle Book Pack and The Lion King Pack (Australian version)

The Jungle Book Pack was released exclusively to Australia in 1994. It was bundled with the Mega Drive game The Jungle Book but it included more than just the bear nessecities! It also included the game Aladdin. The outer packaging wasn’t just a sleeve like other MDs but was an actual box with a folding tabs, covering a standard MD console box.

It’s the art work and vibrant colours that makes this pack a standout.
Next is The Lion King Pack. There were a few different Lion King packs released on the Sega Mega Drive; the MD 1 Lion King Pack, the European MD2 Lion King Pack and the Australian MD2 pack.

The Lion King Pack was also released in 1994. Mine has the price sticker of $199 bought in a Virgin store.

To illustrate the differences in box art, we have the UK Lion King Pack at the top, and on the bottom is the Australian Lion King Pack.

As you can see the UK pack has a sleeve and the AUS Pack has a box. The console from the AUS Pack also has a sticker stating the box is for “Inner packaging only”.

The art work design again is an eye catcher.
