The collaboration between Sharp and Nintendo created the release of a lot of unique items. One of them being the Super Famicom TV, a Japan only release.

Released in December of 1990, it came in two different sizes. The 14G-SF1 which was a 14 inch TV retailing at ¥100,000 and the 21G-SF1, a 21 inch TV which retailed at ¥133,000. The internal Super Famicom was more effectively connected to the TV giving it superior picture quality, although, the quality in the 14 inch TV was slightly lower than the 21 inch. Unfortunately, the SF1 TV only has mono out.

The TV had a cool feature of having AV out so you could have it connect to another TV at the same time. As well as having an extension port for connecting accessories.

When it comes to collecting video game merchandise, there are always those odd couple of items you come across. Super Mario World Golf shoes are definitely one of those items.

These are an officially licensed Nintendo product (year unknown), made and sold in Japan. The golf shoes are of very good quality, which you would expect for the original price tag of 25,000 Yen.

Of course these would not appeal to everyone. They have a very unique look, with coloured woven leather strips through the front and sides of the shoes, and the Super Mario World logo stiched into the front. They even feature CoolMax high performance coolant technology!

The Super Mario World Golf shoes came in an orange and green ombre shoe box, with metallic images of Mario and Yoshi. The catch phrase on the box is “Excellent high quality golf shoes for nice play”. An interesting choice!
